Hudson River Watershed Alliance Breakfast Webinar: Winnakee’s Saw Kill Property Funded by DEC Water Quality Improvement Program (WQIP)
In an innovative partnership with the Town of Red Hook and with funds from the CWIA/EPH Water Quality Improvement Project Grant via the NYS DEC, Winnakee Land Trust acquired 335 acres of land to protect public water supply from the Saw Kill. Named the Saw Kill Water Quality Protection Project, the acquisition helps safeguard water quality to Bard College and the Tivoli Bays Wildlife Management Area while also inviting public access on walking trails with planned connection from Red Hook to Bard College. Bob Davis, Executive Director of Winnakee Land Trust, leads us through this collaborative process and the outcomes for conservation and community access.
