Winnakee Land Trust

Guided Hike on New Trails at Robert’s Refuge

Be one of the first to explore a Winnakee’s new trail in Hyde Park!

This event is currently SOLD OUT.
Please email uri@winnakee.org to be added to the waiting list.

WHEN: Saturday, September 5 from 9:00-10:30am

WHERE: Meet at the trailhead off North Quaker Lane, Hyde Park, NY (Google pin here).

Join Winnakee’s Director of Parks and Ecological Preserves, Jen Adams, for an exclusive guided preview hike of Winnakee’s newest trail before it opens to the public. Jen led the team of volunteers that built this trail system and is also spearheading the preserve’s stewardship activities. Along the way, you’ll learn about an exciting woodland pollinator project and other stewardship efforts underway at this former red pine plantation. The trail passes vernal pools, climbs a ridgeline, and offers views over a healthy hemlock stand.

Please bring water, wear closed-toe shoes and weather appropriate clothing. Bug spray recommended.

This event is part of The Hudson River Valley Ramble, a month-long event series held every September that celebrates trails of our region.
