Come visit Thompson-Mazzarella Park!
Thompson-Mazzarella Park, located on Route 308 just west of Rhinebeck Village, is home to the Rhinebeck Community Garden, Starr Library, ball fields, a pool, and acres of protected open space with extensive trails. Winnakee Land Trust permanently protects the open space in the park from inappropriate development and works in concert with the Town of Rhinebeck to provide the community with recreational opportunities.
The park is 72 acres with 2.2 miles of foot trails on Traver Lane, adjacent to Starr Library in Rhinebeck, NY. Owned by the Town and Village of Rhinebeck, the park is under open space easement with Winnakee.
The park features open rec fields, active farming, a thriving community garden, towering tulip poplar forest, and is bordered by the rich habitats of the Rhinebeck Kill and Landsman Kill.
Currently, the park is in the process of adding new recreational facilities including regulation soccer, softball and baseball fields, restrooms, and a concession pavilion.
