4-6PM Barn Reception with music, food, pie contest and local brews
All in the Towns of Red Hook & Rhinebeck – details to follow
Explore the past, enjoy the present, celebrate our glorious Hudson Valley farmland and open spaces.
The Winnakee Land Trust Barn Tour is a uniquely Hudson Valley event and a beloved fall activity. History buffs, families, architecture aficionados, cyclists, motorcyclists are invited to experience an up-close view of some of the region’s most beautiful private and public spaces, highlighting the rural character that Winnakee works to protect.
The barn tour will visit historic barns and working farms in the Towns of Rhinebeck and Red Hook. A mapped brochure details the self-guided stops on the tour. Docents will be on-hand outside each barn to provide additional information and answer questions. The tour includes many educational activities along the way at working farms and scenic picnic spots.
Immediately following the tour will be a casual reception hosted inside one of the barns. The party will feature live music, farm fresh foods, local beer, wine and hard cider, and even an old-fashioned community pie contest.
Tickets for the event are $50 per person and include light refreshments before the tour, a self-guided booklet to explore seven properties, and admission to the after-party. Space is limited and advance registration is required.
