Burger Hill Park


Families from all over northern Dutchess County enjoy this lovely hilltop park in Rhinebeck.

This popular picnicking, hiking and sledding spot rises to a 550-foot hilltop that boasts panoramic vistas of the Hudson River Valley including the Shawangunk Ridge, Catskill and Taconic mountains, Stissing Mountain and the Berkshires.

The park is owned by Winnakee Land Trust and managed by the Burger Hill Park Committee. Learn more about Burger Hill park here.


Winnakee Nature Preserve

wnplittleThis beautiful historic wooded property is a nature preserve of 105 acres with extensive public hiking trails, extensive old carriage trails, and culverts.

The preserve is protected forever by Winnakee Land Trust.

Thompson-Mazzarella Park

thompsonlittleThompson-Mazzarella Park is home to the Rhinebeck Community Garden, Starr Library, ball fields, a pool, and acres of protected open space with extensive trails.

Winnakee permanently protects the open space in the park from inappropriate development and works in concert with the Town of Rhinebeck to provide the community with recreational opportunities.
